4. Marisela de Montecristo
This drop-dead gorgeous Salvadoreña has a massive fan base that diligently follows every move she makes. In search of a better life, her parents moved to Las Vegas, which increased her chances of becoming a model. Marisela’s career took off after winning “Nuestra Belleza Latina 2013” – one of the biggest beauty pageants in the Latin world, becoming the first contestant from El Salvador and the second from Central America ever to win the prestigious title. In addition, she became a backstage presenter, actress, and model and even appeared in Pitbull’s “Fun” video. 5. Alisson Abarca
Abarca is one of the most controversial beauty queens in El Salvador. She won the national title in 2017 and competed for the Miss Universe crown the same year. In response to the public’s criticism for using plastic surgery to enhance her looks before the international pageant, Alisson stood proud behind her decision and shined by delivering a program fully in English. She also faced a few challenges with her national costume, which probably cost her the title! Ana started her career early on as a model for the Salvadorian brand Lemour Design. She also appeared in TV commercials and shows. However, 2012 was the year that brought great success to Ana Yancy! She was crowned Miss El Salvador in 2012 and represented her home country at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. When it comes to Ana, brains, and beauty, go arm in arm. She graduated from the University of El Salvador, earning an early childhood education degree. What makes her even more incredible is that she knows sign language! The “Mesoamerican Queen” became popular after winning Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2014.
